PhD theses opportunities in fisheries ecology
We are recruiting 2 PhD candidates as part of an NSERC Strategic Partnership grant focusing on the movement ecology of Atlantic halibut (Hippoglossus hippoglossus) in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Canada. This research program involves numerous research scientists and students based at University of Quebec at Rimouski, Memorial University of Newfoundland, University of Quebec at Chicoutimi and Fisheries and Oceans Canada. The overall objective of this research program is to apply state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to support the development of sustainable management tools for a fishery of key economic importance to eastern Canada.
