Hannah and Dom traveled to Solomons, Maryland to attend the 40th Annual Larval Fish Conference, which was hosted by the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory in honour of Ed Houde, who is retiring this month following a long and extremely productive career. Dom was invited to give a keynote presentation to report progress made during the symposium he co-organized last fall in Yokohama on mechanisms regulating recruitment strength in fish stocks. Hannah presented her latest exciting results on the link between larval growth and recruitment of Newfoundland capelin. Both presentations went very well and generated interesting discussions during tasty striped bass and blue crab dinners!
