CFER Mackerel egg and larval survey under way!

CFER research scientists and students have teamed up with DFO scientists and FFAW staff to successfully complete a first survey in White Bay and Notre Dame Bay with the objective to quantify Atlantic mackerel spawning activity on the Northeast coast of Newfoundland.

The sampling team will work together again later this month to complete a second pass over the sampling grid.
